Tuesday, September 30th, Marie-Eve Ducharme, Nüvü Camēras CEO and co-founder, joined L’actualité’s 2014 SME Conference which was held at Fairmont Queen the Elizabeth. With other Quebec entrepreneurs, she answered the magazine’s question: “What does an entrepreneur need to meet current and future challenges to conquer new markets and create new business opportunities?”

Québec’s Chief Scientist Rémi Quirion invited Olivier Daigle, CTO and co-founder of Nüvü Camēras, to present the advances in medical imaging based on space astronomy technologies at the Recherche intersectorielle : de l’infiniment grand à l’infiniment petit pour la santé de demain symposium. This event, to be held at the Montreal Science Centre on September 17, is part of the celebrations surrounding the 50th anniversary of the Fonds de recherche du Québec in Health (FRQS).
Nüvü Camēras has hosted a Lunch-N-Learn on the topic of “EMCCD Cameras: In vivo Fluorescence Quantification” during the 2014 edition of the Montreal Light Microscopy Course held at McGill University. The talk focused on fluorescence applications of EMCCD cameras in biomedical and medical research. Uniting graduate students, university professors, researchers and company representatives from the biomedical field, this course is widely regarded as a great success and enriching experience in learning about the wide spectrum of microscopy techniques in biomedical research.
René Jr. Landry, professor in Electric Engineering at l’École de technologie supérieure in Montréal, convened Nüvü Camēras’ CTO Olivier Daigle to attend and contribute to the AMOOS team project as part of the 27th International Space University Space Studies Program, held in Montréal from June 9th to August 8th. AMOOS, which stands for Autonomous Mission for On-Orbit Servicing, is a space debris reduction/removal project, and the attendance will also participate to a complete virtual mission to verify its viability.
